What is the purpose of the harness in powerkite ? ?
When you practice powerkite without a harness, on foot, with a board or a buggy, you'll quickly realize that long sessions are very hard on your arms.
Equipped with hook or pulley, the harness transfers the kite's power to your pelvis or waist. The arms are then used only to steer the bar or the handles.
What are the different types of harness for the powerkite ? ?
There are 2 types of harness for pulling: breech harnesses and belt harnesses.
Which harness should I choose ?
the Peter Lynn Base :Sturdy, versatile and inexpensive to get started in mountainboard, buggy and snowkite.
the loose harness : particularly appreciated by tank pilots, it is very comfortable when seated.
the Peter Lynn Divine : top for buggy drivers. Specially developed for long sitting sessions.
The HQ Harness Belt : good value for money for the mountainboard, snowkiting and kitesurf.
Hook or pulley ?
The hook and pulley are indispensable components of a harness. They are the hinge that connects the harness to the sail. To use a harness with a hook or pulley, your control equipment (bar or handles) must be fitted with a harness loop or chicken loop. L
Visit harness end is a kind of reinforced string. On the handles, it is hooked onto the rear loops of the front pre-lines. It allows the two handles to be connected so that a pulley can be used. A harness end can also be used with a "fixed" bar, and it can be releasable, i.e. it has a safety device that allows it to be detached at any time.
Visit chicken loop is the loop on the bar that attaches to the hook. The chicken loop works like a releasable harness end, with a safety catch that allows you to disconnect from the wing when using a harness.

What type of pulley should I choose for my harness ?
There are several types of pulleys fixed, vertically pivoting or fully pivoting.
The swivel function offers considerable comfort. A fixed pulley will exert pressure on the belly when the wing is at its zenith. Conversely, with a pivoting pulley, only the pulley head moves, and the pulley bar exerts no pressure on the belly.
The Peter Lynn Challenger pulley is a fixed pulley, sufficient to start with handles.
The Peter Lynn Bullet Pulley swivels up and down for added comfort.
The Peter Lynn Prodigy Pulley swivels in all directions, ideal for detwister lines after a wing loop.
